Wow!!! I finally met John Petrucci!

This picture was taken in Montreal in the music store "Steve". They had a meet and great with John Petrucci a couple of hours before the Iron Maiden and Dream Theater concert. We waited in line for about 2 hours, outside.
 

Last weekend, I participated in the Allard Music Festival in Joliette, Qc. I played 2 songs: Electric Gypsy by Andy Timmons and Bloom by Scale the summit.

I wasn't very happy with my performance of Electric Gypsy and after my performance of Bloom, we went back home. Surprisingly, the judges gave me 95% for Electric Gypsy and 92% for Bloom. So I actually got 2 gold medals! I was also chosen to play in the finals but I missed it because we already left

Since I'm done with those songs, I'm going to relearn Canon Rock by Jerry C. I did it before, but it could have been better.

Other than that, I don't know what songs to play…

I needed a 7 string guitar for an upcoming competition in may. I will perform Scale The Summit's Bloom with a friend. My parents bought me this today!! EBMM JP7

This is my entry for the Win a Guitar Competition. I tried too make it as melodic and simple as possible. I didn't want to do any shredding. Hope you like it!

I'm entering a guitar conpetition on youtube!

A guy named Rob Chappers made a backing track and wants us to make a solo out of it.

For the solo, he wants it to have emotional content, good tones, and feeling.

The winner gets a  2000$ blue Mayones Setius, an endorsement with mayones and a dvd.

Second place gets a wah pedal and a dvd.

And third place gets a dvd.

I just posted my entry on youtube yesterday, hopefully I will win something!

The competition was yesterday, May 30th 2009. I earned 2 gold medals with honorable mentions for both songs I played, with scores of 96% and 97%. Here are the videos:
